Penguin expert, TED speaker, and award-winning author, Dyan deNapoli, www.thepenguinlady.com, truly believes you are never too old (or never too young) to pursue a dream - no matter your current qualifications or apparent feasibility of said dream. She is living proof that dream-chasing - and building a business from your passion - is entirely possible. At any age! Dyan didn't start working with penguins until she was 36 years old. After co-managing the penguin colony at Boston's New England Aquarium for 9 years, she started her educational company, The Penguin Lady at age 44. Simon & Schuster's Free Press published her award-winning book, The Great Penguin Rescue when she was 49. She gave the first of her four TEDx talks at 50 and landed her dream gig as a regular guest lecturer for Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic at 55.
