Get into a Springtime frame of mind and join us at the beautiful Willowdale Estate on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 7:30-9:00 a.m. for light breakfast and “Building a Better Business.” Sarah Boucher, the Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Willowdale Estate, will share the story of how this iconic property struggled to reestablish itself as a new venue on the North Shore in a highly competitive market. Sarah will discuss how the development of brand, marketing, and message in its start-up years helped catapult Willowdale Estate into recognition as the North Shore’s most inspiring backdrop for hosting an unforgettable event - from weddings to company seminars. The presentation will tell the story of success through three examples of struggles that Willowdale Estate - like so many new entrepreneurs and businesses - experienced and the solutions that Willowdale Estate found to overcome those struggles and succeed! Discover the challenges and steps Willowdale Estate has taken to achieve the goal of attracting clients and partners who shared their values of high quality food and service paired with an amazing location.  

Surrounded by the beautiful grounds and stunning Arts and Crafts Stone Mansion that is Willowdale Estate, members will learn how clearly define their brand and marketing messages in order to build trust, establish value, and be discovered. Attendees will get tips on how to set goals, create standards, and stay focused on essential elements that will promote growth.

About our Presenter:

For the last 8 years, Sarah Boucher has been working for Willowdale Estate wearing a variety of hats.  Starting as an event manager and wedding coordinator, Sarah then focused on marketing and eventually advanced to her current role as the Senior Sales and Marketing Manager at Willowdale Estate.  Sarah got her start in college as a planner and producer of on-campus events, and later began working for a high-end catering company which was the preferred caterer for mansions, museums, galleries, and private estates in the greater Boston area. With a background in music education, Sarah found that the hospitality industry offered exciting experiences with strategy, planning, and an even an element of performance! In 2016 Sarah was honored at WeddingWire’s national conference for “Best Marketing Collateral”, and has been a featured speaker at weekend workshops, student organizations, and professional gatherings.  Willowdale Estate will celebrate its 10th year in business in 2017 and has become one of the most awarded and celebrated venues in the Boston area.
